Keswick is a nice town, I really like the old buildings and landscape in the area. There is quite a lot available for people who enjoy physical activities like canoeing as there is a lake (Derwentwater) nearby.
For tourists it's a nice place to just look around - I found it very welcoming and quiet. - Catherine
