The Durham North Travel Inn is around 3 miles to the north of the city between Durham and Washington on the A617 which connects to the nearby A1(M) at J62 and J63. From the A1 J63, take the A617 towards Durham. Go straight on at the 5 roundabouts, then turn left at the 6th next to the village of Pity Me. The hotel is on the right-hand side a short way down the road. Along with the history in the charming city of Durham itself, there are other attractions such as the Arnison Durham Retail Centre and Beamish Open Air Museum, ideal for family days out.
