Ye Olde Bell Inn in Hurley near Maidenhead has always welcomed travellers through its doors. Some even say that it has been doing so since 1135. Hospitality has been the mark of this building for so long it is as much a part of the architecture as the 12th century beams themselves. Ye Olde Bell has recently enjoyed the extensive attentions of one of Britain's most celebrated designers, Ilse Crawford. Eating and drinking is central to the Inn. The kitchen is in the charge of the celebrated Rosie Sykes, providing locally sourced food, served simply. Using local suppliers from Machin’s butchers in Henley with it’s on site smokery, to the Clarkes at Kingcup Farm who supply beautiful vegetables.
